SPANISH I - HIGH SCHOOL (8TH-12TH GRADE)

Description: Spanish 1 is an introductory course for high school students beginning to learn Spanish. This class focuses on basic communication skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will build vocabulary, learn simple sentence structures, and practice everyday conversations. Cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries will also be explored.
Goals & Expectations:
Communicate in basic Spanish using common vocabulary and simple sentences. Understand and use basic grammar and sentence structures.
Develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through interactive activities. Participate actively in class and complete assignments to track progress.
This course is divided into two semesters and counts toward graduation credits. Regular practice and participation are key to success.
Required text: Spanish Level 1/Beginner Book (Student Edition) — Breaking The Barrier
Participants must be entering grades 8 to 12.
